WHAT WE DO

Visual arts instructors are recruited year-round for affordable and unique classes  and workshops which will serve both youth and adults and provide a large variety of options in both media and subject. Classes generally charge tuition fees that provide financial opportunities for participating instructors.

Art Heals is a new and complex community-focused program committed to the empowerment and transformation of individuals through the visual arts. Working cooperatively with existing local non-profits and organizations, this program serves to transform, heal, or empower select populations encountering adversity through the visual arts.

Through our Community Development, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Capital Arts, and a source of much success for our Arts Organization. Events like Capital Chalk Art Festival, Salvation Army's Empty Bowls, Porchfest, and Gallery Crawls are just a few of the ways that we use art to engage our community.
